The 2024 PIT Count is complete. Thank you to all of our volunteers and partners!
Mandatory Training
All volunteers will be required complete a pre-count training. Volunteers will have two options: attending one of the live online sessions or accessing the recorded Zoom training session. The live option is highly recommended for new PIT volunteers. This new recorded option provides greater flexibility for those unable to attend the live session and will be accompanied by a quiz for increased accountability and comprehension.

Training Purpose: To address the purpose of the PIT, what to expect on count nights and general safety procedures, PIT survey overview, best practices for engaging people experiencing homelessness, and more. There will also be a Q&A portion.

Office Hours
SSF Staff Office Hours: Sacramento Steps Forward staff who are leading the 2024 PIT will have office hours during January. This will enable volunteers to interactively address any lingering questions they may have about the Point-In-Time Count, ensuring they feel fully prepared and confident in their roles.
