HUD – Mental Health First Aid Training Course

December 3-18, 2024

 

Alongside improving client support and assisting vulnerable individuals and families, this training will also strengthen HUD’s mission of creating resilient communities where housing and mental health support go hand in hand. This training will offer six courses between December 3 -18, 2024, so register now to secure your spot.

 

This course will help fair housing professionals identify and understand signs of mental and emotional distress and gain the ability to connect people with the appropriate mental health resources.

 

During this training, participants will:

 

  1. Identify common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges

  2. Understand how to engage with individuals in crisis

  3. Connect those in need with appropriate mental health resources

  4. Utilize self-care tools and techniques to enhance your well-being
