CAS June 2025 Monthly Report

Read our June report for highlights from Sacramento’s front door to homelessness and housing services: the Coordinated Access System (CAS). Each month, the CAS helps connect thousands of residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness with crucial community resources.

Success Stories from 2-1-1

  • Client had been staying on the streets and in respite centers, working to have a positive attitude and make the best of his situation. He received a call to get into the North A Shelter. He will continue to get long term case management support and help in getting housing.
  • Called client and spouse to enroll them into the Coordinated Access program. They stated they were staying at a motel for a few days and then would be back out on the streets. We then lost touch but kept trying to reach out. At one last attempt to contact them, received a text message from client’s spouse stating that they lost their original phone. They were sleeping at Mckinley Park and had had their clothing, hygiene, and a few bus passes taken. Called 2-1-1 backline with clients on the line, but no shelter beds were available. Again, called backline with clients on the line and were told that intake was only available on Tuesday at 10am at the Gathering Inn. Client and spouse are now successfully moved into the Gathering Inn.
  • Client called and requested support. Enrolled them into our program and provided requested bus passes and food. Called 2-1-1 backline with client to check Tay Youth shelter availability. Client was offered shelter at the STEP, however client was hesitant to go in due to his severe anxiety. Called 211 again with client and he was offered a cabin at The Grove which he also denied. Called client today to check status of his living situation; client stated that he is now staying with his uncle and does not need our services at this time. Client will call 211 if assistance is needed in the future.
... and many more.
