CAS July 2024 Monthly Report

Read our July report for highlights from Sacramento’s front door to homelessness and housing services: the Coordinated Access System (CAS). Each month, the CAS helps connect thousands of residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness with crucial community resources.

"I had been notified of an open shelter bed at a shelter for Transitional Aged Youth. I had one individual on my caseload who was best fit for this spot. I contacted him to let him know of the opening. The first thing he told me was that he was not doing well. I could tell that he was upset by the tone of his voice. Once I informed him about the open shelter bed, his attitude changed drastically. He stated that this news had made his whole day because he was worried about where he would have to sleep come nighttime. After completing his intake appointment, he sent me a message expressing excitement that he finally had his own space. It was a great feeling to know that he finally had a safe place to sleep."
