2022 Sacramento CoC Annual Meeting

The Sacramento Continuum of Care (CoC) held its 2022 Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 21 at 9AM – 12PM via Zoom. This half-day session provided information on Sacramento’s homeless response system and gathered stakeholder input to develop a local action plan to address homelessness in Sacramento.

Sacramento Steps Forward has been working in partnership with the City and County of Sacramento to review existing plans, activities, and funding which can serve as the basis for a regional plan and roadmap to guide future investments and policy actions.

The annual meeting agenda included an overview of a preliminary homeless response system gaps analysis and offers an opportunity for input and feedback on system level strategies and activities for addressing gaps and improving Sacramento’s response to homelessness.

The gaps analysis and homeless action plan will guide the CoC’s funding recommendations for round three of the state Homeless Housing Assistance and Prevention (HHAP-3) application due at the end of June 2022.

During the session participants selected 1 of 5 key strategies for input:

  1. Increase Housing Opportunities
  2. Provide Crisis Response with Focus on Rehousing
  3. Build a Streamlined Coordinated Access System
  4. Expand Prevention and Diversion Programs
  5. Invest in Service Provider Capacity-Building and Training

Please continue checking back for additional meeting updates. Thank you!
