Michelle brings over a decade of experience to Sacramento Steps Forward specializing in assisting individuals navigating challenges such as homelessness, substance use, domestic violence, and mental illness. Prior to joining Sacramento Steps Forward, Michelle served as the Program Manager for the HEART Transitional Housing program in Davis, where she played a pivotal role in facilitating transitions to stable housing for vulnerable populations. While residing in Columbus, Ohio, Michelle effectively managed supportive housing programs, directed initiatives, and provided crucial support services in various settings. Michelle is an advocate for fair and affordable housing, leveraging her expertise to advocate for policies aimed at reducing homelessness and fostering inclusive communities. Michelle earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Brandman University. In her free time, Michelle enjoys exercising, spending time with family and friends, traveling and practicing self care through mindful meditation.
