Here at SSF, we seek diverse individuals who share a dedication to driving system-level changes to end and prevent homelessness in Sacramento using human-centered approaches.
We sat down with Brandi to learn more about her and what is ahead for her role as HR Coordinator.
What will you be doing at SSF?
I will be the lead in creating HR Infrastructure at SSF to support Managers and Staff. Some of the current and future projects will entail creating policies and procedures around HR functions such as Onboarding, Employee Evaluations, and Leave of Absence processes, and updating and maintaining COVID Policies. Another project that is of priority is the Personnel Files Audit.
What motivated you to join SSF?
I was greatly inspired by the work that SSF does for the community. What an amazing opportunity to be a part of the movement that is seeking to end homelessness and is making such a profound difference in people’s lives and futures.
What do you wish people knew about homelessness?
I wish people knew more about SSF and that there is an organization out there that is making a profound difference in its mission to end homelessness. I wish people knew more about the opportunities available that are provided by SSF and our providers. It is exciting to see the actions already in place by SSF to create easier access for all people in need.
What are you excited to do in your new role?
I am very excited to be a part of shaping a presence and streamlining processes in the HR Department at SSF. I genuinely enjoy putting together policies and procedures and creating structure where it is needed. Creating HR Infrastructure within the organization will positively impact the employee experience. I am excited to continue working with such a dynamic group of people in making plans a reality.
