We are excited to announce that Sacramento Steps Forward has officially released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for providers to launch our Family-Focused Housing Accelerator Pilot. This is a significant funding opportunity, re-granting $4.5 million of Bezos Day 1 Families Funds to local agencies. Funding awards will provide comprehensive housing support for vulnerable families in our community, guiding them toward long-term stability.
This pilot program is grounded by the rapid rehousing (RRH) model and includes short-term rental subsidies and move-in assistance, housing navigation and landlord engagement, and case management and supportive services. To meet the needs of our community, awards will focus on programs with demonstrated experience in culturally responsive services that support families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or barriers to stable housing.

Eligible Organizations:
Eligible recipients include nonprofit organizations that demonstrate the necessary expertise, experience, and capacity to deliver proposed program services and:
- Have at least two years of experience successfully providing housing or services to people experiencing homelessness; and
- Administer services through a racial equity-based, culturally responsive, housing first, and trauma-informed approach
