Notice for all local homelessness and housing providers: The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released the FY 2024–2025 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition! The competition, facilitated by SSF and the Sacramento City and County Continuum of Care (CoC), provides funding to promote a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness In this latest cycle, HUD is offering a nationwide total of $3.524 billion, a 12.44% increase over FY2023 funding.
Local Competition Dates and Deadlines
For Sacramento County providers, the local competition starts with a Mandatory Applicants Workshop on August 20, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. via Zoom. The competition runs from August 20 through the Local Competition Deadline on September 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.. SSF will host Technical Assistance “Virtual Office Hours” during this period to assist providers.

- Tiering Changes: Tier 1 set at 90% of the CoC’s Annual Renewal Demand (ARD).
