CAS Explanations: “Exits to Housing”

Defining the terminology used by Sacramento’s Coordinated Access System (CAS). Learn more about CAS here

“Exits to housing” tracks the number of households (individuals or families) who secured stable housing and thereby exited homelessness. This tracks people moving from homelessness—whether sheltered or unsheltered—into a place to call home, including temporary and permanent housing. Each household exiting to housing demonstrates the strength of our coordinated access system in not just managing but resolving experiences of homelessness.
