Hear about the recent pivotal developments in homelessness policy, particularly the Grants Pass Supreme Court Decision, and California’s Executive Order N-1-24 and its local impact.

2024 State of Homelessness: 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.

Joel Riphagen and Dr. Simmons will present on the “State of Homelessness” in the Sacramento CoC. This analysis will demonstrate the CoC investments’ current capacity and effectiveness and the improvements necessary to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.  

Networking Lunch: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Afternoon Planning Sessions: 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Meeting participants will break into smaller groups led by the People with Lived Expertise of Homelessness committee members to discuss activities and strategies related to the Regionally Coordinated Homelessness Action Plan. What activities and investments should the CoC pursue to help effect change in our community? What inspirations or lessons can be learned from the morning sessions to inform the CoC’s direction? 

Participants will have an opportunity to join up to two groups to provide feedback and make recommendations. At the end, groups will have 30 minutes to present their findings.
