Sacramento Steps Forward works with service providers within the homelessness Continuum of Care to provide shelter, housing, treatment, counseling, and other services to people experiencing homelessness in the Sacramento region, via funding awarded by the federal department of Housing and Urban Development.
In addition, we are working to support and create cost-effective solutions and programs that reduce the number of people without permanent housing in the Sacramento region. We collaborate with service providers, businesses, local governments and other stakeholders to develop programs that address gaps in funding and public policy so that we can all work more effectively and efficiently together to resolve homelessness.
