Call for Nominations: 2019 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count Committee

The Sacramento Continuum of Care (CoC) Advisory Board is convening a Point-In-Time (PIT) Count Committee.  The PIT Count refers to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirement that CoCs receiving HUD funds for homeless programs count and survey people experiencing unsheltered homelessness no less than biennially.  This 2019 PIT Committee will focus its efforts on assessing and debriefing existing practices and defining the role and scope for future PIT committees.

The committee will begin meeting in January 2019.  Member orientation will be held in January, at which time chairs or co-chairs will also be selected.  Subsequent meetings will focus on debriefing 2019 PIT activities and defining and developing the role, scope, and timeline for future PIT committees.  The committee will meet on a monthly basis until after the release of the 2019 PIT Report in July, at which point they will finalize their recommendations for future, or ongoing, PIT Committee(s). The committee will present recommendations to the full Advisory Board in August or September.

The CoC Advisory Board is accepting nominations for the PIT Committee December 12 -21, 2018 at 12 PM.  The committee will be appointed at the January 9, 2019 Advisory Board meeting, with the orientation to be scheduled shortly thereafter. This will be a quick turn-around. Fill out your interest form today!
