Landlord Liaison Initiative
Landlord Liaison is a systems level position focused on developing a coordinated and comprehensive approach to housing delivery and to promote coordinated exit strategies. Efforts include strengthening the linkages between housing stakeholders and service providers thus expanding access to viable housing options. SSF’s Landlord Liaison program is designed to increase access to housing while protecting property owners’ investments. The program includes a dedicated staff member to create long-term relationships with the property management community, a nationally recognized education program designed to help formerly homeless individuals develop the skills and practices to be reliable tenants, a 24-hour hotline for landlords to call in case of an emergency, and a restitution fund to cover property damage beyond the security deposit.
