Mission
The missions of the Council are to create and oversee new initiatives and partnerships to end homelessness of families and individuals in Sacramento County, to make recommendations regarding the County’s Continuum of Care activities to the Policy Board to End Homelessness, and to make policy recommendations regarding ending homelessness to the Policy Board. The Council will coordinate implementation of the Ten Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.

New: Continuum of Care Advisory Board
Both the Interagency Council to End Homelessness and Policy Board to End Homelessness are currently coming to an end, and the new Continuum of Care Advisory Board will be fully constituted in their place in February.
Changes to come in April
In early April 2012 SSF will be taking over one-half (20) of the HUD-funded contracts currently handled by the County Department of Human Assistance with local non-profit community based organizations
- These grants total $4.3 million with 11 agencies
- SSF will be taking on the responsibility for facilitating and monitoring these federal grant dollars
